The mail landed was a large one, numbering nearly 600 bags, of which about 200 were for Hong Kong mail some 130 bags being letters and papers from the United Kingdom The parcel mail from Home numbered about 100 bags. The remainder of the mail includes continental and Straits. lettere and papers, and there is a large con- signment of bags for Canton, and other costs ports, etc.
