MANILA, July 5th. The officers and 12 of the crow of the steamer St. Francucis Xavier which was stranded 300 miles west of Ralabao strait have left Manila on the steamer St. Albans for Sydney, whence they will take an- other ship for New Caledonia. The French steamer had 13 officers. These and the crew and passengers were brought to Manila by the steamer Dolius last Sunday morn- ing. The remaining crew of 39 Indo-Chinese sailors are now tem- porarily lodged at the detention house. The French con- sul and customs authorities are making arrangements for their early return to their country.
