Shipping News Week-End Statement, Waterfront

WEEK-END FREIGHT

RETURNS.

HEAVY THROUGH CARGOES.

LOCAL IMPORTS NORMAL,

The freight returns during the week-end showed that no less than 47,302 tons of general cargo had heen carried through to ports he yond Hong Kong. Local imports tone were were normal; 20,048 entered.

Saturday's Returns. The Colony's imports for the 24 hours ended at 9 a.m. on Satur- day, showed that 5,094 tons of general merchandise and 6,657 tons of rice had been landed here. Of the general

five British vessels accounted for 3,574 tons. Tho beat return was 1,700 tons brought by the as Carnarvonchère from Hamburg and Singapore.

Through cargoes totalled 15,308 tons. These were carried by seven steaners, with 14,808 tons on five British vesacla.

Another Fishing Boat Pirated. Another fishing boat has been pirated, and those on the vessel lost money, jewellery and clothing to the value of $160.
