Everything was orderly and the pro cessions were eliciently marshalled and set in motion. There were plenty of banners, and at first glance, there was little to show that the extremists had been downed. The old slogans showed up with wonted prominence, "Down with Imperialists," Abolish Unequal Treaties," Long Live May 1st Labour Day, being the most popu Jar. Many of the slogans had an obviously European origin. A loser glance revealed, here and thete, some fluttering denunciation of the Communists. Canton can be congratulated, however, in getting

Advantures And Misadventures.
Mr. Eng has had his share of mishaps and was in hospital for three months last year following an accident. He was piloting a Martin bomber with four officers as night observers when the gasoline line fell off, the 'plane crashed, there was an explosion, and the machine caught fire. The two 400 horse-power Liberty motors, were melted in the terrific blaze. --
