LLOYD'S SUMMARY OF RETURNS.

A GENERAL, REVIEW OF THE YEAR AT HOME.

Lloyd's summary of returns of shipbuilding at Home during the

year 1920 shows that during that peried there have been launched in Great Britain and Ireland 107 mer- chant vessels of 639,508 tons (17) 142 stemmers of 431,533 tous, 37 motarships of 201,913 tons and 18 barges of 8,502 tons). All these ressils have been built of steel, and not a single aniling vessel has been launched during the year.
