DEBTOR ADMITS HAVING NO BOOKS...
A case which Mr. Justice J. R. Wood described as most unsatisfac tory came before the Bankruptcy Court on Saturday. His Lordship was referring to the case of Lau Chan, a poultry dealer, whose pub

The debtor admitted that he had no books relating to his business and that for his statement of ac tunts he had had to rely on the Ögures of his creditors. He said that he did not think his books would be wanted ia, connection with the bankruptcy and he carried the bigger accounts in his head
The books, it was stated, had been missing some time between the serving of the petition and the making of a receiving order.
