THE EVIDENCE. Sir J. Rennell Rodd. Sir J. Rennell Rodd, in evidence. said that he never knew Hesketh Pearson, and on November 10th. when the first criticisms of "The Whispering Gallery" appeared, he was in Milan, returning to Eng- land two days later. He had never heard the name of Hesketh Pearson until his return.
