CONTRIBUTORS.

-Imports of general merchandise into the Colony and through freights carried by vessels entering Hong Kong during the 24 hours ended at 8 am yesterday, have decreased considerably. Οι the small amount of general cargo discharged here and carried for ports beyond, British steamers were the heaviest contributoraL.

Out of the 15 vessels which came into part yesterday, general cargo was unloaded from 8 steamers. These steamers discharged a total of 3,680 tons here, of which, 3,163 tons were from 6 British vessela.

In addition to general merchan- dise landed for Hong Kong, there were also 8,742 tons of coal in three shipments. The Norwegian steamer Fingal, brought 1,000 tons from Keelung, the ss. Kojun Maru, from Port Arthur, 1,600 tons, and the Kiku Haru, from Miike, 4,142 tons. Through freights were manifested on three British steamers- amount. ing to 1.824 tons. Steamers of other nationalities carried no general cargo for ports beyond Hong Kong, but there were 2,125 tons of coal on the as. Fingal, and 1,300 tons on the Kojun Maru..
