Dr. Robert George Style, one of. the most popular doctors among the poor of Bethnal Green for nearly half a century, and stated to have had an income which was, often not less than £,000 a year, died practically penniless in the Bethral Green poor law hospital last month. Dr. Style, who was 72, had been chairman of the Bethnal Green Guardians, who control the in- stitution in which he died.

Dr. Style, in his early career at Bethnal Green, had a large re- sidence and surgery in Cambridge read and a carriage and pair.
