Following this meeting the annual meet ing will be held at 5.30, at which the Committee's report and balance sheet for the past year will be presented; and ulcers, and members of the Committee will be elected for the ensuing year.
The programmes for Fanling for the Christmas and New Year have been com- piled. From December 24th to December 27th, there is a bogey pool competition for members and subscribers on the Old Course.
Entrance is $1 and unlimited entries will be allowed. Ten per cent. is to the Club, sixty per cent. to winner. and 30 per cent. to second. From Decem- ber 25th to December 27th there is a mixed bogey round on the New Course (3/8 conihined handicap). Entrance fee will be the same as above, and entries will again be unlimited. There are no. restrictions as to whether lady or gentleman drives at odd or even tees. A prize will be given to the winning lady t there are ten entries, or more, and prize. to the winning gentleman if entries are 20, or more. On December 26th there will be a special medal round for mem- bers only on the Old Course. Entrance will be $1. CLUB DRAW WITH NAVY IN SIM SHIELD COMPETITION.
The Hong Kong Hockey Club 1st, XI- put up a very fine performance yesterday' afternoon on the United Services Re creation Club ground when they played their first game this season in the Sim Shield Competition,
The Club did not expect to win, but they kept up the form they showed last. week against the R.A.
The game, after a ding dong struggle, resulted in a draw and when the final whistle blew the score stood at 2-2.
Next week the Club, will meet the Navy in the second round of the competition, and during the following two weeks will play the Army. The Services as pre- vent, stand level, both the Navy and the Army having won one match when they' at the Hongkong Daily Press Office, played against each other,
