SHIPPING MOVEMENTS.
The N.D.L. 3.s. Yorck left Singapore on Saturday, and is expected to arrive. in Hong Kong on Thursday. She will sail for Shanghai and Japan on the same afternoon.
The E. & A. Ca's an Tanda lett Moj for this port on the 28th inst., and is dus here on the morning of the 3rd prox. She will leave for Manila, Banda kan, Thursday Island, Townsville, Bris- bane, Sydney and Melbourns on or about Saturday, the 4th, at 4 p.m.
The B.I... Tilawa will leave for Bingapore, Port Swettenham, Penang and Calcutta to-morrow (Wednesday), at 1 p.m.

Saturday's returns were well above the average, with 10,794 tons of general cargo for Hong Kong, and 29,985 tons for ports beyond. British vessels brought 8,246 tons for local discharge and 3,464 tons of through freight.
There were 17 arrivals and 19 dopar- tures. They were: British 8 arrivals and 6 departures; Japanese 3 arrivals and 3 departures; Dutch 2 arrivals and 4 departures; Chinese 1 arrival and 2 departures; Norwegian 1 arrival and departure, Danish I arrival; German 1. arrival: American 2 departures Vessels in port amounted to 50 of which 2 were British.
Sunday's Statement,
During the 24 hours, ended at 9 am. on Sunday, the returns showed 13,340 tons of inward cargo more than on the previous day. Out of 17 vessels entered, a total of 24,134 tons of general mer- chandise were discharged here, of which only 3.993 tons were from 10 British yes sels, the remaining 18,941 tons being brought by 1 American, 1 Dutch, 1 Portu- Iguese, 1 Japanese and 3 Chinese steamers
The best returns were registered by the Chinese steamer, Hwah Wu, from Chin- wangtao, which brought 6,680 tons; the dis- 3.5. Tjikembang (J.C.J.L) also charged 4,500 tons from Sourabaya and Batavia,
Cargo from ports beyond amounted to 11,314 tons, of which 3,348 tons were manifested or British vessels: The 9.2. Carnarvonshire carried 3,000 tons, and the Tjikembang 3,800 tons.
There were 17 arrivals and 9 depar- tures, the nationalities of which, were:- British, 10 arrivals and departures; American, 1 arrival; Dutch, 1 arrival; Portuguese, 1 arrival; Japanese, I ar rival and 2 departures; Chinese, 3 arrivals and I departure; German, 1 de-

tons.
There were 32 arrivals and 15 depar tures. They were:-British, 14 arrivals and 5 departurea; Japanese, 4 arrivals. and 4 departures; Norwegian, I arrival and departure; Chinese, 6 arrivals and 2 departures; Danish, arrival; Dutch, 1 arrivals French, 1 arrival and 1-de- parture; German, 1 arrival and I depar ture: Portuguese, 1 arrival; American, 2 arrivals and 1 departure.

SHIPPING NOTES.
The total number of deck passengers arriving in the harbour for the 24 hours ended at 9 a.m. or Sunday, was 1,022. The Fook Seng (Indo-China), carried 329 from Kobe and Amos; and 353 were landed by the s.3. Tikembang from Seurabaya and Batavia.
"Yesterday's returns showed 1,064 deck passengers, 377 and 252 were respective ly, landed by the Tilawn, from Osaka and Amoy, and by the Tumba Maru, from Bombay and Singapore.
With 2,000 tons of coal and livestock for discharge here, the s.5. Phranang arrived Sunday right from Hongay and Hoihow. She will be despatched later for Hongay.
