YESTERDAY'S STATEMENTS.

A considerable increase was shown in the returns of freights entered into the Colony for the 24 hours ended at 9 am. Heng An, Chinese str., 2,200 tons, Capt. yesterday. The total tonnage of general 5. F. N. Krogh, from Foochow Amay merchandise imported for Hong Kong and Swatow, with planks and sun-amounted to 11,178 tons, out of which dries, lying at Chiu On Wharf-Chiu 8.20 tons were carried in British vessels. The best return was registered by the Hin Sang, British str., 1,885 tons, Cap Indo-China steamer in Sang, from

T. Grant, from Sandakan, which Sandakan, who contributed 3,790 tons. port she left on November 20th, with timber and general cargo, lying at Kowloon Wharf Jardine, Matheson

Cargo for ports beyond have also been increased; there were 21,625 tons carried by steamers passing through Hong Kong. & Co.

A notice issued by the Harbour Master at Tientsin, dated November 15th, states that the Lightship Taku, the Entrance Buoy, the Bar Lightboat and the Spit Lightboat will be withdrawn for the win- ter on or at any time aiter December 1st, and each will be replaced by a Black- Painted Spar Buoy. On the removal of the Spit Lightboat, the lighting of the River Mouth Leading Marks will be commenced.
