The manager of the Wang Lee Co., of No. 7, Sai Tung On Street, Heung Shan, with a branch office in the Bank of Canton Building, appeared on remand before Mr. R. E. Lindsell, at the Central Magistracy yesterday afternoon, charged with fraudulently obtaining the sum of 81,230 from four Chinese, who had de posited various sums with the defendant as security for positions in the office of the company and on board the ma. Kong Ning, whereas the said ship was not the property of the Wang Lee Company as purported by the defendant.
Mr. G. R. Baywood appeared for the defence.
