K.O.S.B.'s Reserves v. South China, their league fixtures with a win against At Sookunpoo, the Borderers" opened

South China. The game was very evenly contested, South China having the better af the game in the open while the Borderers were sound in defence, Mac- Dougal in goal playing a safe game. The Chinese took the lead" and before the in-

1terval Alexander made the scores equal.

The second half found South China playing good open football but they 1) failed

Rogers levelled up soon after the change. of ends and, during a scrimmage in the College goalmouth, the R.A. forced the ball into the net, winning by two goals to one.

R.A. Reserves r. St. Joseph's. St. Joseph's went down to the RA. by Hongkong Club ». K.0.9.B.'s, the odd goal in' three. At the interval, The Borderers opened their league the home team was leading by a goal to fixtures with a game against the Hong-nil, scored by T. Leonard, although a kong Club and went down by the odd goal goal scored by D. Leonard had been in five after a very close and keenly con- tested game.

Had the Borderers been quicker in front of goal they would most probably have come away with full points for, on several occasions, Howard cleared his lines while the Borderers forwards were waiting to shoot. Although at the in- terval the Club were leading by a goal, scored by Valentine, the military had more chances to score than the Club. The Club's lead at the interval was some what lucky, the ball rebounding from the post following a shot by Phillips and Valentine, returning into the set well out of Anderson's reach. Half-time, Hong kong Club, K.0.5.B.'s 0.

From the restart the Clab at once went down and Anderson turned out a shot

from Valentine to the foot of Alexander who promptly sent the ball into the net. A free kick for the Borderers close in was well taken by McGill and Rodger, just managed to send the ball over the top for a corner. McGovern sent in a shot that just missed. The Club went further ahead when Taylor, after a fine sprint down the wing, sent over well- timed centre and Valentine sent hard against the crosbar nad catching the ball on the rebound banged it into the net giving Anderson no chance.

The K.O.S.B.'s, now three goals down, exerted themselves and soon reduced their opponents lead. A hot shot from Davy wa's stooped by Rodger and, before he could clear, Crawley sent the ball into the net. McGlinchey receiving from a free kick turned the ball into the net well out of Rodger's reach. The Borderers tried hard to level up, but left their efforts too late and the final whistle found them defeated by a goal.

Final score, H. K. Club 3, Borderers, The teams:- Hongkong Club G, Rodger; Howard and Campbell; McBride, Stewart and Watson; Taylor. Phillips, Valentine, Hansom and Alexander.

K.O.S.B.'s: Anderson; Barham and McGill Cooke, Davy and Campbell; Locherbie Stock, Crawley, McClinchey

Club de Recreio v. "Tamar." Played on the King's Park ground, and ending in a win for the Recreio by four goals to two. The Tamar were the first to score,

King centring, splendidly,. Worthington sent the ball into the net. The Fanar, halves though hard pressed but put in some very useful work. Gosano Bent in against the bar and, following up, took the ball on the re bound and shot into the net, making the scores one all. The Recreio took the lead, Silva scoring. Gosano next beat Moody | "with a fast cross shot. Just before the interval, a fine shot from King just miss ed. Half-time, Reca 3, Tumar 1.

From the restart the sailors put on pressure but the Recs, defence kept them out. The Tomar forwards kept up their pressure but failed to pass Silva. A com- bined attack by the Recreio forwards cnabled J. Silva to score. Again the sailors attacked strongly and during the pressure, a foul against a defender gave them a penalty, Worthington making no mistake from the spot kick.

The sailors continued to press, but fail- ed to add to their score and the final

Kowloon pressing, but good work by Toms, Trim and Blanchard kept the score down. The R.A. broke away occasionally but, lacking combination, they were easily subdued by the home

haires. Kowloon forwards also lacked combination, and when the whistle sound- ed for the interval the score sheet was blank.

China Athletic "A". Club de Recreio Reserves. Playing at King's Park, the home tears went down badly" to "the China "A" team. Lan Kau opened the score half- way through the first half and before the interval, Lo Chee Yin had put them fur- ther ahead. Shortly after the restart, Lo added another goal.
