At the Marine Court yesterday, before Lieut. Commender G. F. Hole, R.N., a coolie, of Chiu Chaw, who had been living at No. 120, Canton Road, was charged with being on board the s Santhia without the permission of the master or the officer in charge. He pleaded guilty and was sentenced to one month's hard labour.
Also at the Marine Court, the master cf a trading junk was fined 85, with the alternative of five days' hard labour, for failing to report the arrival of his junk in the harbour.
Dangerous goods manifested in yester day's shipping returns, included 3,780 tin boxes of matcher, and 180 cas matches on the ax. Santhia from 1 hama and Shanghai.
