The arrival of the Malayan Prince inaugurates an accelerated service by the Prince Line from and to New York, outward by the Panama Canal and home ward via Suez to Bostan.

The vessel is 471 feet long, her beam measuring 60 feet; depth 2 feet, inches. Her dead weight is 10.000 tons, and cubie capacity 833,489 feet.

The vessel's two internal combustion diret acting vertical Diesel engines. which develop 7,700 HP. give her a speed of 14 to 15 kaota. An average of 14 knots has been maintained since the vessel left New York, on March 25th.

The vessel is essentially a freighter, but as her wincher are operated silently by electricity, the accommodation pro vided for eight passengers should be it great demand by those who would avoid & crowd.

The cabins are each fitted with two cots, two wardrobes and all that a pas senger can require-even down to a safety cache for his watch!

LONG SERVICE.

The Malayan Priner is in charge of Commander A. B. W. Sheppard, R.N.R., who has been in the Prince Line service over 25 years, having made his first trip as Master in the Welsh Prince, a quarter of a century ago. The Chief Engineer is Engineer-Commander W. Tucker! R.N.E., who has served with the Prince Liar almost as long as the Captain.
