The shipping returns for the twenty- four hours ended at Fam. yesterday showed that there were 38 vessels in the Ar- harbour, of which 30 were British. rivals over this period numbered thir. toen, wiz, seven British, one Dutch, two American, two Japanese and one Chinese. Departures over the same period came to twelve, these being for the following ports:-For Shanghai, two British, one French, one Norwegian and one German; for Singapore, ene Japanese; for Kwang Chow Wan, one Chinese; for Amoy, two- British; for Maails, two American; for Pulean Dutch str.. 707 tons, Capt. H.Hanoi, one Chinese. There was only one J. Coersen, frem Sambor and Amoy,clearance during the above period, this with a curgo u brazine, viag at being a British steamer for "Bombay.
