April 8th. Guire, British str. 3,186 tons. Capt. F. H. Brewer, from Rangoon and Singapore, the latter part she left on April 19th with a general cargo, lying at buoy No. AS-Mackinnon, Mackenzie & Co. Tilan, British str., 0,153 tons, Capt. F. W. Rowe, from Yokohama and Amoy, with a grueral pargo, lying at buoy No. AS-Mackinnon, Mackenzie & C'e.

HONGKONG SHIPPING.

The shipping returns for the twenty- four hours ended at Fam. yesterday showed that there were 38 vessels in the Ar- harbour, of which 30 were British. rivals over this period numbered thir. toen, wiz, seven British, one Dutch, two American, two Japanese and one Chinese. Departures over the same period came to twelve, these being for the following ports:-For Shanghai, two British, one French, one Norwegian and one German; for Singapore, ene Japanese; for Kwang Chow Wan, one Chinese; for Amoy, two- British; for Maails, two American; for Pulean Dutch str.. 707 tons, Capt. H.Hanoi, one Chinese. There was only one J. Coersen, frem Sambor and Amoy,clearance during the above period, this with a curgo u brazine, viag at being a British steamer for "Bombay. North Peint-Ariatic Petroleum Co. West Ivan, American str., 1466 teas, Capt. G. H. Winnett, from Manila, with sugar, rope and mangoes, ¡ying at imoy Nu. Ass-Struthers and harry.

Of the cargo entered for Hongkong, 3.520 tons were carried in British vessels, of which the heaviest entry was

3 tons. The remainder of the entries by British arrivals, all of which brought Bereh, British str.. 0,702 100s, C'apt, some cargo. were all under four figures. Alex Webster.. from London and Largo entered by vesels of other nation. Singapore, the farmer, port she wicalities came to 2,15 tons, with 1,530 tons With regard to on March 15th and the latter on April the heaviest entry. 22nd. with a general cargo, lying at freight for other ports, 4,134 tena was buoy No. 13-Gibb, Livingston & the heaviest entry made, wish 3,500 tons,, two of over two thousand tons and two of over one thousand tons the next in order.
