On His Leg!
ZAM-BUK Alone Could Cure.
"My bad leg was a legacy of the Boor War when I was wounded:by poisoned bullets," says Pipe-Major W. M. McKenzie, of 37, Anfeld Rd, Liverpool.
Though my case received special attention from the Army doctors. the wounds wouldn't heal,
"When I got back to England the leg went from had to worse, There were throw big running sores between my knee and ankle which continually discharged and caused really terrible pain.
"Besides Medical treatment I tried scores. of ointments and similar preparations... During the 2+ years I suffered the leg mus have cost me well over a hundred pounds.
"The day I started with Zam-ak proved great one for me, for it soothed pain so wonderfully and brought such distinc improvement that it soon made me hopetu! of a cure. As I persevered with Zam-Buk, all corruption was drawn out of the sores and new healthy deal replaced the diseased parts. SEWELL BEATS REDMOND
That Redmead who despite his failures during the last few years, is regarded as one of the foremost expetents in the Colony, should have been beaten by Sewell in the first round of the Open Single, will cause go little surprise among followers of the game, there is
not the least doubt.
In this match two different types of players met. Redmond belongs to the refined and polished class with the ro pertoirs of strokes that champions must possess, and he is capable of high class and scintillating tennis, but with a tem perament in the matches as fickle ze the weather of the Colony; while Sewell, whose acquaintance with the local courts and tournament is considerable is of the stubborn and persevering, yet successful,
type.
When they met, yesterday, the botter and more attractive player suffered, Redmond played a good game from the start and forced the pace on Sewell who calculating that his opponent's game would break down against his persever ance, chased and returned. nearly all Redmond's fine placements and hard shots, and saved many seemingly imposs ible returns. Redmond almost always failed to firnesse his strokes sufficiently to beat Sewell, and lost many points in attempting to beat his oppourat by very Fast balls Redmond was not in his best form and as his best efforts did not come off he, therefore, had recourse to more steady and safe game. After lesing the first two sets he made a grêat effort to save the match in the third set in which Sewell lod 5-4. B-5, 8-7. At 8-7 Sowell tried to force the pace to win, but made his greatest mistake, for he had born winning on Redmond's mistakes. IIe lost the 10th game easily and the set eventually. Redmond was beaten really after he bad lost the first set, which shook him off his balance. Sewell was still as persevering in the fourth set as when he started. Redmood's game broke down against such consistency, and be only took one game in the set.'
