The arrivals for the twenty-four hours ended at 9 am. yesterday numbered seven, viz. four British, one Danish,"one American and ego Japanese. There were twelve departures over the same period, including two for Swatow and three for Kwang Chow Won with four clearances.

Of the cargo entered for Hongkong, no les than 6,868 tons were carried by British versels. The heaviest caries were also by British vessels, namely 2,000 toos and 2,200 tons; the next best being 1,500 tons by a British vessel ard 1,412 tons by an American steamer. Feature of the returns was the entry of 12,000 tons for ports beyond by the East Asiatic Company's new motorship Den- mark; and 10,683 tons, also for ports be- yond by a Japanese vessel.

The arrivals for the 24 hours ended at 9am, yesterday were as nader-The 8. Sui Sung (British) from Calcutta and Singapore with 1,566 tons of general cargo and mail and 1,060 tons for ports beyond; the s.8. Pembrokeshire (British) from Karateu with an entry for Hong- kong, but 8,300 tons of beans and 120 tons of other cargo for ports beyond"; the 8.8. Apoey (British) from Saigon with 2,100 tons rice, 800 tons of general cargo and mail; the Chili (British) from Shanghai and Tsingtao with 2,200 tons of cargo; the m.3. Danmark (Danish) from Copenhagen and Singapore with 300 tons of general cargo and 12,000 tons for porta beyond; the s.s. Fest Chopaka (America) from Los Angeles and Shang hai with 1,412 tons of gasoline and kero- seng and sundries and 4,057 tons of similar cargo for ports beyond and the Toyooka Mary (Japanese) from Singapore with 373 tons of general cargo: and timber and 10,088 tans for ports be yond.

Later arrivals, foo late for entry in the above returria, included the s.2. Porthon (French) from Marseilles and Saigon with cargo and mail.
