CHAMPIONSHIPS ON SATURDAY.

-The last of the series in their Cham pionships was sailed by racing yachts on Saturday. The course was of 19 miles distance, from the Yacht Club round Pillar Rock in Gin Drinker's Bay and back to the Club.

La Linda won in the Handicaps, and thus took second place in the Champion- ship. Bluenose won in the Hayward Hays, and takes third place in the Cham- pionship. Goel was winner in the Gaels. Anishing just behind the scratch boats.

LADIES' RACE.

There to be another ladies' race to- day, this being for the cup, presented by Bluenose, winner of the Gael and Hey- ward Hays section of the championship.

NAVY DEFEATS EH.K.Y.C.

The third race between the RH.K.Y.C. and the Royal Navy took place yesterday in capital sailing weather.

The, morning race was from the Club to Lyemun, Channel Rocks, mark in Naval Auchorage, and finish at the Yacht Club, a distance of 7.3 miles. The racing was very keen. Coming back from- Lyemun the boats were in such an order, that bad they so finished, the Club would" have had five points in hand, but bad tactics on the part of the Club helmsmén,. accounted for the Navy turning that deficit into a advantage of nine points, This was mainly due to the fact that the Club boate went right over to"
