"At the close of the year the number of places provided with postal facilities totalled 42,518, as against 40,318 at the end of 1923. Of the newly opened postal establishments totalling 2,200,104 were major and 2,008 minor establishments.

The report of the Hongkong and Canton Ice Manufacturing Co., Ltd., for the period ending July 1st, 1925, is as 'follows:-

The profit for the year ending July 31, 105, after writing off 83,300.83 for depreciation and bad and doubtful debts amounted to 82,394.60 which your Directors recommend deducting from the debit balance brought forward from list year, thus reducing the balance of 838,486.95.

Retiring Directors--Mr. A. 8. D. Cousland and Mr. Leung Yan. Ro retire by rotation but are eligible for re election.

Audit. The accounts have been audited by Moara Percy Smith, Seth and Flem- ing who offer themselves for re-election.
