Cargo entered for Hongkong for the twenty-four hours eaded at yesterday totalled 5,652 tons, against 19,212 tons for the previous twenty-four hours; while. freight entered for ports beyond ramo: to 13,082 tons, compared with the previous entry of 24,017 tons. The combined cargo entered came 18,334 tons, against 43,254 tons the previous day. Of the cargo for Hong- kong, 4,708 tons were brought by British vessels. The total number of deck, passen- gors entered for the same period was ,141, of which the p.s. Talamba (British) from Osaka'and Amoy, carried 1,091.

Arriving later yesterday was the ss. Horan Marn (Japanese) from Keelung and Swatow with 787 tons of general; merchandise and mail.
SHIPPING NOTES.
An entry in the shipping reports yesterday, made by the master of the sa. Kwai Fang, a British vessel, which arrived from Bangkok and San- dakan, read." One corpse in con.- cargo from Bandakan."
The aa Evn (German) which arrived late on Tuesday irom Singapore, took the unusually long period of eleven days to reach Hongkong from that port. Leaving there on December 4th she did not arrive here until December 15th, There was nothing in the harbour office roport, 'made by the master of the vessel, to indicate the cause of the delay in reaching Hongkong, but as the vessel is one of only 850 tona registry and had to face a strong N.E. Monsoon on the way here from Singapore, this probably explains the time taken in making the. paesag
A notice issued by the Maritimo Customs at Shanghai indicates that the Shaothing Wreck Mark Buoy, marking the position of the Shaoshing wreck, which lies clear of the fairway in the Bouth Channel Entrance to the Yangtazo River, has been withdrawn..e
