ST. ANTHONY'S ORPHANAGE. CATHOLIC UNION CLUB HOLDS CONCERT.

in aid of the funds of St. Anthony's Orphanage, a concert was given at the Catholic Union Club on Saturday even- ing.

"

One of the most delightful items of the entertainment was that contributed by the children at the close of the pro- in which they represented gramine, various dowers. The scene was a very pretty one, with the children dancing about the stage in dainty and attractive costumes with coloured lights directed upon them. Credit is due to Mrs. Gay Cuming who designed and made the costumes and helped in the direction of the performance, Miss W. Henderson, a pupil of Miss O'Keefe, stood out pro- minantly in the pices and showed much promise in a special toe ballet.

Renderings by Father Riganti'a oz- chustra were well received...

Misa O. Bibeiro, Miss P Nicol, Miss Lam and Mr. Al Castro, and the Misses Noronha also contributed to the programme,

The playet, "The Trysting Place," was very effectively presented.

The following took part in this pro- duction :-

Mr. L. Guimaraes, Misses E. Hodri- gues, M. Noronha, H. Noronha, Messrs. M. da Silva and M. F. Baptista.
