The annual "At Home of the Chinese Recreation Club took place on the Club's ground at Causeway Bay on Saturday afternoon and evening. The fact that an exhibition tennis match had been arranged between Capt. O'Callaghan (who has reached an advanced stage in the H.K.C.C. Lawn Tennis Tournament in the different events in which he is

Following cheers given for Mrs. Wong] and the visitors, Mr. H. R. B. Hancock, of the Hongkong Cricket Club (Captain) for some years of the inter-port cricket tea and at one time one of the fore- most tennis players of the Colony), re turned thanks on behalf of the visitors for the enpoyable afternoon they had spent through the courtesy of their Chin-| ear hosts. Ho congratulated the Club on a successful day, and said that the Chin- ese were renowned for their hospitality and courtesy. Such hospitality and cour tray had been extended to him on many occasions and he hoped to enjoy the same for very many years to come. (Ap- plause).

During the afternoon, ten was served in the open and selections were played by the band of the 5/2nd Punjabi isegi ment, under the baton of Mr. Larter.
