A steamer arrived at. Whampoa on Friday, from Vladivostok with a cargo of Russian kerosene oil, gasolene and other oil products, states the Canton Gazette, which adds that with arrival of this steamer, the (Canton) oil dealers' strike may be confidently said to be broken. The public need have no further anxiety about the sale and purchase of these commodities hereafter.

HONGKONG IMPORTS.

The following notes are from the fort nightly circular of the Hongkong General Chamber of Commerce, dated May 8th:

Cotton Picco Goods and. Fancy Cotton Goods-Apart from a few tentative enquiries, probably made in order to test prices, our market remains un- changed, and affiaks is poor. Mid. "Am. cotton was quoted at 12.61d. in Liverpool on the 7th inst., and Eg. Bakellarides 32,2d. The market continues dull ad stagnant and there is nothing freeh to report.

Raw Cottons-There is no change to report

Metals-Business remains stagnant, with local prices inclined to sng.
