I Jenny has her way, high necks will certainly come back into fashion this season. In her Autumn and Winter cal lection, which she showed to the big buyers last week, there were the most curious examples of-a-ólavor iden on her part for encouraging women to wear the high necks they have for su-long for saken. This idea was worthy to add high Deeks of georgette instead of making them of the thick, probably hard, material composing the dress, And the way Jenny carried out this idea was by means of

There were, innumerable, after noon dresses in navy blue cloth, serge, reps and other heavy types of materials, which were cut with a square, rounded or a bateau neck; instead of leaving the neck exposed, Jenny covered it up by attaching a coloured scarf in georgette or chiffon to the square or the rounded or the hateau neck-line and then wind- ing the ends tightly round the throat finishing them in a bow tied in front at the side or negligently flowing down at the back. Some times, bell-shaped cuffs or cuffs made of odd-shaped scraps of georgette or chiffon to match that used in the, neck piece, repeat the note of colour in the ensemble. Some of the models treated in this way showed a ruris ous line by having the neck at the back! cut quite a good way down, the space of Besh that would otherwsiz he revealed being filled in with a georgette or chiffon starf and creating thus a kind of tran parent yoke effect. The ends of the scarf, in this case, alter it had beet wound round the throat two or three times, were tied in front. Sometimes, the idea was reversed and he yoke effect was carried out in front, the back being quite high in cut. In this case, the scarf ends were tied at the back or or the side.

In several other models, where the scarf was rot used to create an effect of a bigh neck, Jenny produced the effect hy means of a band of fur. This was notice able on mau of her three piece suits and

wrap coats.

There is another fur which the cou- turiers who count are using this season on their epats, which is liable to cause much vailing and gnashing of teeth in cat-land when the news becomes general, for this is none other than the pelt of the grey tabby cat. There is a kiw pro- hibiting the alasing of domestic pets for this use, so the fur is called chat sau vage
