The Parliamentary correspondent of a London paper on August 10th wrote:
It is nunounced that the British Gov- érament have decided to restore the amount of the levy under the German Re- parations (Recovery) "Act to 98 per cent. on February 12th-that is to say, a fort night after they. first met Parlia ment-the Labour-Socialist Ministry announced, in the House of Com- mons, that the duty imposed on im- ports from Germany under the Act would be reduced from 20 per cent.

The return to the old figure is stated- to bo provided for in the Report of the Second Committee of the London Confer and the increase is regarded in official circles as permanent in character. When the matter was discussed in Parlie- ment-last Merch the Government were severely criticised for taking a step which reduced the amount recovered in this way. from Germany on account of Reparations, from approximately £800,000 per month, to £150,000 per month. The Day of the Knight is Here !
IT IS THE
WILLYS KNIGHT
Simplest and most trouble-free type of motor ever invented.
It has the most distnctive and gracefully balanced body of any car
in the market.
The Willys-Knight car is the four cylinder motored car that makes the six
unnecessary.
The Knight motor is steam prinsiple. The valves are two cylindrical alcoves with rectangular alots or ports which when they register with each other and the ports in the block allow the ingres and egres of the game without obstruction. These wide open passagen, particularly on the exhaust side, permit a more thorough cleaning of the barnt gases from the combustion chamber than any other type of mator, so that every oudze of energy available in nillized from the explosive mixture, which gives us such tremendous power,
It has no valve to grind and no carbon to clean,
The combustion chamber be completely surrounded by water and an alloy piston noted for its great hen adiating qualities is used so neither the combination chamber nor the head of the piston gets hot enough to bake the residue from the exposed gases to form carbon while there is still enough best maintained to handle the explosive mirture effectívaly,
-It is the only type of motor that improves with use.
While carbon can not form in the combustion chamber, still a certain amount of the residus from the barn? gases works up behind the wide sealing ting in the cylinder head and, as this building in process obtains, is koepe pashing this sealing ring more tightly against the inner sleeve until it completely seals the compression chamb developing more power with every mile the motor is drawn..
It is the only type of motor that wears in while other wears out
All parts in the Willys Knight car are assembled with wide clearance between each other and oil is forced into these clearances under beary pressure so that the entire amambly lapping or wearing in on these beary films of oil instead of wearing out. In other words, every beating in this raptor is an en bouring instead of a metal to metal bearing which is tiscessery in the constraction of a poppet valve motor in order to keep it quist with subsequent quick WEST and hoiab.
It has eliminated eme hundred and sixty to quick wearing parta necesary in the operation of a syftader poppet valve motor. There are no batamering parts such as cams striking against push rods, push rods mira steniu, or valve handa mapping back into their seats through the modrum of heavy springs,
