S. H. Ismail met and defeated Os Eum jahn in a replay (the previous one having to be abandoned owing to darkness netting in before the completion of the match) The re-play went the full fire sets and finished in the gleaming. On the whole the style of play was similar to the pre vious exhibition; long rallies of backhand and forehand driving until the limit of human endurance was reached. Ismail lasted better than "Ramjaha and in the

The baseball game between the U.S.S. Asheville and the South China Athletic Association, played on the Causeway Bay Athletic Field on Sunday at 3.30 p.m. re suited in a victory for the Asheville of eleven, to one.
The South China Athletics did not seem to be able to find Barkley, the Asheville'e atar pitcher, for they only hit one ball to the outfield, this being a "scratch" hit between third base and shortstop. There were two men on base when this hali was bit, having got on by errors en the part of the Asheville's infield, and one of them scored. This happened in

score thereafter."
The Association's pitcher threw a very slow ball which was rather irritating to the Asheville men who have been used to batting a "speedy" pitcher. They found him, however, and scored three times in the first innings, once in the third, four times in the sixth and three in the seventh innings. Haynes, the Asheville's catcher. knocked a homer in both the sixth and seventh innings. Knickerbocker, the Ashe ville's shortstop, was also marked by his spectacular play.
