R. Sayer) The Chairman also read a letter received from the Secretary of the Shameen Municipal Council with the notification which stated

"Copies have been sent to the Hong kong Hotel, the King Edward Hotel, the American Express Company and Messrs Thos. Cook & Sons, Ltd., in order that the attention of visitors to Canton may be drawn to the danger of going into the Native City at the present time."
