Mr. Brock had telegram from Mr. Lack that Lao Yang-jen, the robber chief, was near and trying to cross the railway line. Today we hear he is over and looting near Fu kow. Yenling 35 li from Fukow has fallen and some other places. Our people are very scared and any flee! But where? No place is safe. » The briganda' great aim is to capture Chowchiakow, and they are very desperate men.
