THE RACE FOR CRUISERS. The races for Saturday, although they started, had to be cancelled as na boat arrived home before the time limit. On! Sanday there was an almost entire lick of wind and the cruisers had to be tored out to a starting place between the North and South fairway buoys. At the open end of the harbour there was a good breeze and some good sailing was enjoyed over a course of nineteen miles. This was by way of Discovery Bay, Chang H, North fairway buoy and Datum Rock The wind was W. to W.N.W The start was at 10.30 a.m. Seven English-rigged cruisers and two Chinese put out, but one of the latter failed to finish. are the detailed mults:
