FATAL ACCIDENT ON THE S.S.

"MENTOR."

An accident occurred on 31st December! last on the ss. Mentor which arrived in Hongkong yesterday morning with the mails resulting in three of the crew boing injured (one fatally). The two injured men were transferred to hospital at Colombo. It appears that in the Indian Oman some of the crew were engaged in some work in the forecastle, when a big wave suddenly came over, knocking over the men, one of whom was killed and two injured,
