I will now call up a Mrs. Grace to pre- sent the prizes. It gives us great pleasure to bave Sir Grues perform this ceremony as she has always taken keen interest in yachting and has attended all over gala days, also, her daughters who are keen heims women and have taken part in the races to-day.

The prizea were than presented and Mr. Grace was later the recipient of handsome bouquet of flowers from the hands of Mis Beryll Arthur (daughter of the Vice-Commodore). Three cheers for Mr Grace and the ladies who had taken part in the racing were called for by Mr. Blair and were readily given.
Commodore GRACE, replying on behalf of his wife," thanked the members fur the honour accorded to Mrs. Grice and went on to say that the Commodore of the Club had forgotten one thing and he now desired him to mention it. This was that the Club would be always ready to receivo lady members and, he believed his exact wordy "were, "that they would be received. with open arms."(Much laughter).

The afternoon event commened at 'clock, tiffin being served during the interval The wind was fairly steady though. It freshened towards the finish. There was a clow start and with the ex ception of Sealark the yachts got over the line together. The lead was soon taken by Windferd, closely followed by Gladys, with Adanac slightly to the leeward. This yacht gradually crept up and went ahead, increasing her lead right up to the finish.
