The Kowloon Cricket Club first eleven played a league match at Causeway Bay on Saturday against the Chinese Recrea tion Club, the match ending în a draw, The Chinese had first knock on aŭdead wicket. Scoring was slow, an hour being taken over the first 70. The fielding of the Kowloon men was very safe and a catch by Ramsay from Loo was a very fine effort. The Kowloon bowlers had but little joss. W. Hung was the only one to take advantage of the wicket, and ho knocked up 40 before he was bowled by Fletcher. The visitors were left one and a half hours to get their runs and in this they did not succeed;; being 21 behind when stumps were drawn. As they had two wickets in hand the match ended in a draw;

The University second string were, too good for the Civil Service men on Satur day, defeating them in a league match, played at Happy Valley, by 31 runs, The victory was mainly due to the splendid trundling of D. Laing, who completely held the Civil Service batsmen. He scured eight wickets for the small total of 25 runs. This is probably the best average for any one match this season and it will take a lot of beating
