The text of the new Rent Control Bill for Great Britain was issued last month. The following is a summary of its main provi- sions:--

Facilities are given for the landlord to recover possession if the house is reason- ably required for the execution of the duties of a local authority or for any purpose which, in the opinion of the Court, is in the public interest, and the Court is satisfied as to alter native accommodation.
