The story of the claim of two women to be the wife of an unemployed marcher who died ne. Willesden had a remarkable bequel. It is now clear that the con- fusion arose from the fact that the man, Walter Tompkms, had a living counter- part of the same name, town, and age, the resemblance being heightened by the fact that be also báre, exactly similar head scars.
