The second string wens to the wickets first and were all out for 118. Of this total Claxton scored 12 TUDA. His contribution included one boundary for six off. Pent and seven fours.

This League match was played on Saturday at Happy Valley resulting in a draw. The Indians won the tow and batted Grst. Reed opened the attack with deadly length and breaks. At öne stage of the game the visitors did not mem likely to get fifty runs. The runs at the fall of the wickets were:-1 for 3, 2-0 3-93, 4-93, 3-23, 6-10," 7-41, 8-72, 0-78, 10-137. The last wicket partnership add ed" 60 runs. Madar batted well for his 49 and got 3 wickets for 5, Reed took 7 wickets for 47 and S. H. Ismail for 16.

The Royal Engineers visited the Kowloon Cricket Club on Saturday and played a league match with Kowloon's second string. On the whole Kowloon batsmen did poorly and with the cxcep tion of B. Petheram, R. E. Lindsell, E J. Edwards and W. B. Haslett, none of the players reached double figures. Petheram made a good stand and his 57, not out, was a very safe exhibition. Ho gave one chance just after passing the half century. The sido was out for 133.
