The form of service followed was modification of the Church of England burial service. The Rev. A. E. Martin read the prayers, the Registrar of-the-Univer- sity (Dr. N. Teesdale Mackintosh).read the lesson, the Rev. C. B. Shann gave the address and the Bishop of Victoria offered the prayer for mourners and pronounced the benediction. The Rev. Li Kau Yan, who is in charge of St. Stephen's Church, also took part. The hymos sung were: Peace, perfect peace and 'For all thy saints who from

their labours rest.”

We have met together, to-day to do honour to the memory of Gregory Paul Jordan, a man well-known and well-loved in this Colony, and one who holds a very warm place in the hearts of all connected with this University with which he ayas closely associated from its very inception to the time when he sailed for England after having been Acting Vice-Chancellor for nearly three years.

Object-This company has been formed to purchase as a going concern the business known as the Humphreys Hido and Leather Works carried on by the firm of W. G. Humphreys and Company of No 5, Duddell Street, Hongkong,

Business.—The business comprises the manufacture of all kinds of Leather and the dealing in of hides and skins, and of all descriptions of goods and merchandise incidental to the business of such nature, and is carried on upon extensive, well-built, commodious, and Premises at modern premises situated so Ma Tau Kok, Kowloon, on Kowloon Inland Lots Nos. 1267 sad 640, which contain an Ma Tau Kok ares of 110,942 square feet, held under a Crown Lexan for 75 years with an option of a further 75 years from the 18th day of December, 1911, subject to a Crown rest of 8506.00 per annum. These premises are within the Offensive Trade Ares, as defined by the Sanitary Authority and hence has been granted by the Government to carry on the business of a Tamery in all respects thereon.

Bito--The Site is ideal for the purposes of the business, its area is ample for any future extensions that may be necessary, it is situated on the main road between Hok Un and Kowloon City, and is in close proximity to the sea front.

Crude Oil Bolinder Engine with Generator direct connected, the various processes in the Tannery being operated by separate Electric drives from individual Motors.
