Excellent weather conditions prevailed on Saturday when the closing cruise of the Royal Hongkong Yacht Club-was held. Owing to the strike and the consequent dasorganisation of traffic, the attendance was mengre, but competitors and specta- zors alike hat e thoroughly enjoyable and interesting aftorncon. There were the usual yachting events, both for ladies and gentlemen, and with a fair wind and calm sen, with the tide mostly in favour, the times recorded were good. hlobe (ailed by Mr. Lowe) secured the event for Chi- nese rigs, Aileen (sailed by Mr. Brayfield) won the English Rig event. In the Hay ward Hays Class Miss Stokes steered Siring to victory, and in the Gaal Class Mrs. Olliver brought Joan in. Little Sirius Miss Bessie Blair achieved a notable Gael success in the Handicap Class with Rolla Ursula... and in the One Design Class Miss Starkey Dawn came in with dilta,

Mr. Hutchison said he sympathised with the defendant. He did not think it was fair to send a man to prison for three months, and then re-arrest him two days after his discharge and again charge him. The defendant was not given sufficient time to get away.
