During the active period of Police Beserve services the Club was constantly used for lectures, meetings and fastruc- tion class, but the duties of the Reserve have been reduced and the necessity for such a large Headquarters no longer zxist.

In view of the Enancial position and fact that it will not be long before. all regular duties cease, it cannot serious- ly be suggested that another set of rooms should be taken and the Government asks. ed to contribute to their upkeep.
It has been urged that a number of members

a new self-support- ing Club
There is no reason why those members and non-members should not do so, but it could not, of course, be a Police Reserve Club in the sense that the present one is: it would be more or less in the nature of a private enterprise.
