Imagine the scene. It is 2 a.m. Hour after hour cases have been steadily ar-3 riving straight from the battleficid, bespattered with nid and blood and filth. They have been dressed once, but we apply the seconst dressing, cutting off all the former ones, for there is no ting for unwrapping the bandages. We wash as much as will ensure safety, apply the fresh dressings and send them on a stretcher to a ward.
