KOWLOON 6 HONGKONG.

This match was played at King's Park, Kowloon, and ended in a draw very much in favour of the home side. At 420 there were 5 Hongkong wickets down for 60 Tuns, and it looked as if Kowloon would. pull off a win, but they had no luck. Stalker had the best innings of the match. with a forcing 72, which included 13 fours. Macaskill compiled a vigorous 46, with a fours. Cobb took six Hongkong wickets for just over five rung a-piece. Capt. Gray made top-score for Hongkong with 3 at critical stage in the innings, Claxton, beaind the sticks for Kowloon, was in one form. He caught two men and allowed nothing to get past him, the few extras being all leg-byes Scores:-

HONGKONG GOLF CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP.

AN EABY WIN FOR A RITCHIE. The final for the Championship of the Hoyal Hongkong Golf Club was decided yesterday at Fanling Golf Course over 38 holes. The weather was ideal, except that in the forendon there was a strong north wind blowing which made the stores higher than they would otherwise have been. The ninth hole, for instance, which is the longest hole on the course, had to be played right into the teeth of the wind all the time, and on the 6th green there was such a gale blowing that it was useless to putt for the hole direct A ball hit into the wind off the the was liable to play all sorts of tricks, and both finalists found it difficult to keep the ball low against the wind.
