POST OFFICE NOTICE.

CHINESE NEW YEAR HOLIDAYS.

THE HONGKONG DAILY PRESS, FRIDAY, JANUARY 19TH, 1917.

Tuesday next, the 23rd January, being Chinese New Year. Day, the Post Office will be entirely closed.

There will be no delivery or collection of correspondence from the Pillar Boxes. Non-Boxholders may, however, obtain their ordinary correspondence on application at the inquiry counter at the South-West entrance to the building. On Wednesday, the 24th January, the Post Office will be open froin 8 to 9 a.m., and there will be one delivery and one collection of ordinary corros- pondence as on Sundays.

The Money Order O fice will be entirely closed.

Particulars of outgoing and incoming Mails, other than those shown below, will not be advertised in future.

The Post Office will forward all correspondence posted by the fastest routes.

Correspondence addressed to enemy subjects in China, Siam, Liberia, Portuguese East Africa, Persia and Morocco cannot be transmitted.

The Services to Germany, austria, Bulgaria and the Ottoman Empire are suspended.
