EFFECTIVE FRENCH ARTILLERY WORK.
ENEMY'S TRENCHES HEAVILY DAMAGED.

An observer narrates the following iccidents 1-o

An incendiary 'bomb_fell on to a stable roof and a motor-car immediately caught fire. The stableman and his wife, despite the torrific fire, rescued 11 horses, a watch- dog, and a caged bird, the only casualty being a bantam cock.

A bomb, dropped in the street, cought a motor-bus carrying 20 persons. Ter were killed and ten injured.
These incidenta suffice to show the real nature of the Zeppelin attacks.
ANTIPON
IN HONGKONG.
SPREADING THE FAME OF THE GREAT BRITISH SPECIFIC FOR KAPID FAT-REDUCTION.
The burden of obesity is so distressing and so unprepossessing, and is generally so difficult to get rid of with any degree of permanence, that the introduction to Hongkong of the Lamous British Specific Antipon will bo welcome in many quarters. The preparation is not unknown here already, but the obstacles- in the way of its supply to the general public were necessarily great. All difficulties are now removed.
Ere the important discovery of Antipon the treatments usually employed for the reduction of weight included starvation dietary rules, sweating and purging, together with mineral in drugging. All these things are weakoning the extreme, and, when obstinately persisted
ruinous to the constitution. Antipon is. diametrically opposed to such drastic methods. To expel the superfluous fatty matter from the system is all very well, but the body. Now

PRO-GERMAN POLICY OF
BULGARIA.
سید
LONDON, September 17th.
PARIS, September 18th. The evening communiqué says:-There has been heavy cannoaading along the PRESS CRITICISM SUPPRESSED. whole front, the French artillery effective= } ly continuing the destruction of the enemy defences. There was fighting with bombs and grenades at sapheads in the region of Angres and Sonchez, and a sustained fusil lading between the trenches in the Roye
district.
The Times correspondent at Sofis, says that a writer of a newspaper article eriticising the pro-German policy of the Government has been arrested and the journal suppressed.
Ample wholesome food therefore becomes. Antipon's strength-giving ally, and there is no need to dread that the extra nourishment taken will bring about a re-development of excessive fatty tissue,
Every dose of Antipon is a sure step in the direction of the recovery of beauty of form and vigorous pervous energy.
The decrease of weight is not a tedious proccas Within twenty-four hours of the first dose there is a reduction varying, according to individual conditions, between 8o. to 3 lb. The scales will be the unerring recorder. The daily decrease is eminently satisfactory. When normal weight and. symmetrical proportions are re-gained the treatment is no longer necessary.
Antipon contains only the most harmless vegetable substances in solution, the liquid being in appearance like a light red wine, It is palatable, refreshing and slightly tart, and never occasions any unpleasant re- actionary effects.
Antipon can be obtained at all drug stores, from stock or order, or in case of any difficulty a large care will be forwarded direct from the Antipon Laboratories, Store Street, London, W.C., Eng, carriage paid, on receipt of remittance for 11 dols, or 22 dols.
