Lady Rees Davies, wife of the Chief Justice, returned to the Colony by the Arcadia on Friday.
The Gazette contains a despatch from the Secretary of State dealing with certain additions and modifications of the Declaration of London.
The leading roles were taken by Mrs. J.. Somerville Dobie (Queen) Miss Agnes Bishop (Snow White) Mr. R. Brown (The Frog) Mrs. J. Robertson, Miss L. White Mr. B. A. Stokes figured as the Queen's and Miss D. Filkins. Mr. T. W. Hill and huntsmen, and Mr. Stokes made an appearance again in the last scene as Sunray in a strikingly effective ballet.
The songs of Miss White, who appeared in the final scene as a Spirit of Night and effectively given. again as a Spirit of Spring, were very Mrs. John Robertson
(The Nightingale) and Mr. Brown (The Frog) also ang well in the second seene of the first part, while Mr. Denman Fuller's playing of the piano was all that could be desired.
