SHIPS' LETTER BOXES.

must be posted at the General Pest Offee or at any of its Branch Offices. 2.Ships Officers are strictly forbidden to receive on board their vessels any correspondence

from the Public,

3.- Shipmasters are not allowed to place or expose on board their vessels letter boxes for the parpole of collecting correspondence; all spoh boxes found exposed on board their vogels will to removed and returned to the General Post Office, 4-Shipping Companion must not receive from the Publio for inclusion in their ships Fapers Any but bona fide Consignees' letters which should be left open for inspection when nquired.

5.-Shippleg Companies should slate in their notifications to the Post Offles the exact bour of departure of their vesele in order that the public may havo every facility for pceting at the General Post Office.

6-Shipping Companies and Ships Officers must send to the Post Office ALL correspondence except bonu de Consignees' letters posted in the Ships Letter Box or received by Ship Officers at the perte from which they sailed, or anywhere on route to Hongkong, 7.-The abore regalations will not affect the licensed Private Letter Boxes carried between Hongkong and Centon by tho vescola kelonging to or managed by the Hongkong, Canton and Maono Steamboat Co

The Kashima Maru, with the MAIL, FROM LONDON (via Siberia), probably of Wednesday, the 19th it, is due to arrive here to-day--

The Koren, with the AMERICAN MATI, left Yokohama for Hongkong via Manila on the 16th inst. at 10 s.m., and is sobeduled to arrive here on Monday, the 28th inst.
