Thartday, 1st January the Post Office will be open from 8 to 9 am. ereof the arrival of the English Mall from Europe, the Post Ofeo will be open for one hear for the delivery thereof.

Thors will be one delivery of ordinary correspondenco and one collection of letters as on Sundaye.

The Son Order Office will be entirely closed.

In the ovent of the arrival of the English Mail from the South before 10 am to-morrow, the paresla will be ready for delivery from 3 to 5 pm. on that day. If tho steamer arrives after that hour they will not be ready for delivery until 7 s.m, en, the 3rd January

The UNITED STATES MAILS ex Nite have basa transferred to the Eastern, which is scheduled to arrive here to-day.

To-morrow, being a holiday, Mails per Empress of Russia will be closed to-day, at 6 pm.

The Egypt, with the ENGLISH MAIL, left Singapore on Saturday, the 27th irst., at 9 a.m., and is due to arrive here to-morrow, at 8 a.m. This packet brings the parool mails closed in London for despatch by the all-ses route on the 26th ultime and for despatch overland on the 3rd instant.
