With the first of the salvage cargo from the stranded Nippon aboard, the cutter Mindoro tied up in front of the Custom Houso yesterday afternoon shortly after 3.00 p.m. She brought in 7,164 sacks of copra and 22 enses of curios, among which were seven addressed to is Royal High ness the Crown Prince of Sweden, the result of seven years' accumulation of old brick tiles and broakes from China.
Shortly after the arrival of the Windoro, the steamship Antonio H. BRANCHES AND AGENTS all over the Pottut, which was chartered by Messrs. Struckmann & Company, arrived bring. ing back C. Struckrianu, partner in the firm of Struckmann & Company, Captain Pat Millor, who is noting in the capacity of, Lloyd's agent, Captain Bailey, ropre- senting Robison & Company, who were appointed salvors by the underwriters, and Captain Hessel, salvage contractor. All of these gentlemen absolutely refused to make any statement until they had made their reports.

It was learned from a reliable source, however, that the Nippon is still resting. easy on the reef with 12 feet of water at her bow and 22 feet aft, and in all prob ability if the weather holds good it will not be a Herculean task to bring her to Manila. As near as can be ascertained, for the divers had not commenced their work at the time of the departure of the Mindoro or the Poizat, the Nippon, has three or four holes in her bottom, only one of which, it is thought, penetrates her inner plates.
