THE CRISP LOAN.

INTERESTING REVELATIONS.

The Shanghai Times in the course of a recent leading article says:-

On Thursday. last we dragged the National Revice, an Anglo-Chinese week-

paper, to the bar of public opinion.. We made certain statements in connection with the National Review, which, if un- trac, should have been denied at once. Among other things we pointed out that the National Reiter had persistently op posed the Six-Power Group loan pro. posals--which involved paying China 95 for her Bonds--and strenuously supported- the Crisp Loan project by which Chius Those who received 89 for her Eonds. were prepared to pay 95 were described as blood-sucking money-leaders; those whe gave 89 were inferentially styled high-minded altruists and saviours of Chino. We also gave some interesting facts about a concern called the China Conservation and Development Company. The public must not be allowed to lose sight of the persons connected with this Company.
