POLITICAL.

The safe return to France last Tuesday evening of Premier Poincaré from Russia, on board the cruiser Conde, was made the object of an enthusiastic and herty welcome. The first to stop on

As the two Ministers came down the gangway and made their way to the Dunkirk town-hall they received a very hearty reception from the large erowd, M. Poinenré at the end of the Municipal luncheon dealt briefly with his mission, and assured all present that France, Russia and Great Britain were never more solidly united than they were at the present moment; The harmony existing between these three friendly Powers wins something to be proud of, the more as it was the means of preserving Bniversal peace. M.
